Job description:
Downriver Medical Associates seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team in a busy internal medicine practice.
This is a full-time, onsite position within our billing department, offering a comprehensive benefits package.
Position Overview:
The Medical Biller will be responsible for managing the full-cycle billing process, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims, and maximizing reimbursement for services provided.

Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately post charges and submit claims to insurance payers in a timely manner
- Process and transmit billing data to insurance providers
- Review, track, and resolve denied or rejected claims to ensure optimal reimbursement
- Conduct routine audits and reviews of billing processes
- Support and maintain billing programs and initiatives implemented by the practice
- Assist with credentialing processes as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of medical billing experience, preferably in internal or primary care
- Required: Active Medical Billing Certification (e.g., CPC, CPB, or equivalent)
- Experience with Epic is a plus
- Strong proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Knowledge of credentialing processes preferred
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong multitasking skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
